Synthesis Descriptions on the Materials Project
Today, we are proud to officially launch a database of automatically extracted synthesis descriptions for inorganic compounds, a collaboration between UC Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, MIT, UMass Amherst, and the Materials Project as supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Basic Energy Sciences, and the National Science Foundation: Designing Materials to Revolutionize and Engineer our Future, Office of Naval Research, and the MIT Energy Initiative. For thousands of compounds in the Materials Project, synthesis descriptions are now available, along with links to relevant full publications.

You can read more about the methodology used in our companion publication, and expect even more of our materials to have synthesis descriptions in the near future.

We look forward to hearing your feedback.
